Wearing a baseball cap is quite a modern thing,
but did you know it has a history of more than a century and a half ?!

The first hats were worn by the Brooklyn Excelsiors team in the NABBP (National Association of Base Ball Players) championship in 1860.
This cap had the same features as today's modern caps, a long rigid visor and a button on top.
In fact, it can be considered as a rudimentary yet immature version of the baseball cap.

The journey of baseball caps from the sports fields to the "street" was a gradual process influenced by several factors. Its popularity was mostly established in the 1980s. During this period, it was very popular with both actors and musicians.
Remember Magnum, the Hawaiian detective who had the bile growing on his head.
With the rise of MTV (and I'm not talking about Hungarian TV :))) ), fashion and aesthetics played a more important role, young people could see how their favourite artists dressed and were free to follow these fashion trends.
At that time, the baseball cap (flat peak) was more associated with hip-hop, and musicians and bands like the Beastie Boys and Tupac played a big role in this... and this trend continues to this day.

Fortunately, baseball caps are still very popular with fashion lovers today and we hope they will remain so for decades to come.

Today, there are many different types of baseball caps available, in addition to the most popular models such as full caps and trucker and flat caps.
The manufacturers have thought of that so that no one is left out!
In the last couple of years, safety baseball caps have become available, with protection provided by a replaceable shatterproof plastic shell. Among the full extravagant caps we should mention the seamless caps made of carbon fibre materials, which sounds very promising when you think about the evolution of this headgear.....and the story doesn't end there.

It is easy to see how it has evolved over the last century and a half.
